Most calls are not “a new electrical system.” They are a 100-amp panel that cannot feed central AC, a Level 2 EV charger, and a range at the same time; aluminum or knob-and-tube that an insurer flagged; or breakers that trip when two bathrooms run hair tools. We size the service first. A move from 100A to 200A (sometimes 400A on larger homes) is the job that unlocks the rest.
We file the municipal electrical permit, coordinate the utility if the meter socket changes, and meet the inspector. Older Ocean and Monmouth houses often need the panel and a few homeruns, not a full gut. If the panel is a fuse box, Federal Pacific, or Zinsco, we treat that as a safety replacement, not an upgrade upsell.
Insurers in New Jersey increasingly non-renew homes with open knob-and-tube. We document what is live, isolate it, and replace with modern NM or conduit so the policy can be written. Aluminum branch circuits get COPALUM-style repair or a copper rewire on the affected rooms—not a sticker over the panel.
Level 2 wall units need a load calculation before we pull a dedicated circuit. If the panel is already full, the charger waits on the service upgrade. Whole-home generators need a transfer switch and a permit; portable interlock kits are the smaller option when a standby unit is not in the budget. We do not guess ampacity off a brochure.

The challenge: The homeowner needed the outdoor junction/disconnect for the septic system fixed. The existing disconnect was damaged and no longer a reliable, weather-exposed connection for the pump circuit.A failed outdoor disconnect on septic power is not a cosmetic issue. If that circuit opens, corrodes, or comes loose off a weak mount, the pump can die and the tank can back up.
The result: Integrated Electrical Solutions removed the damaged disconnect and replaced it with a new 30 amp disconnect.Because the old setup lacked proper support, we set a post in the ground, mounted the new disconnect to it, made up the connections, and confirmed the circuit was working. Outdoor septic disconnects take rain, lawn equipment, and movement in the soil. Replacing the can is only half the job. It has to be supported, rated for the load, and landed so the pump has a clean on/off point for service later.
