Are wired security cameras better than wireless?

For reliability, yes. Hardwired and PoE cameras don't need recharging and don't lose signal at the edge of your Wi-Fi. Wireless cameras are fine for a quick add-on, but wired systems are better for full-time coverage.

What is a PoE camera?

Power over Ethernet sends both power and data over one network cable. It means fewer wires, a stable connection, and no outlet needed at each camera.

Can you replace my outdoor light with a floodlight camera?

Yes. This is one of our most common camera jobs. We check that the existing box and circuit can support the new fixture and seal it properly.

Why does my video doorbell keep disconnecting or rebooting?

Often the doorbell transformer is too small for a modern video doorbell. We test it and replace it with a properly sized transformer.

Do you install cameras I already bought?

Yes. We can install and wire customer-supplied cameras, as long as they're compatible with the installation you want.

Do you install cameras for businesses?

Yes. We wire and install camera systems for offices, retail spaces, and warehouses, including network cabling and recorder placement.

How much does security camera installation cost?

Integrated Electrical Solutions charges a $199 service call fee, which includes the first 30 minutes for diagnosis. Additional labor is $75 per half hour. If a second electrician or helper is needed, an additional $55 per hour applies.
