Our licensed electricians install every fan the right way — safely and to code.
Many ceiling fans are installed incorrectly by homeowners or general handymen. Common problems include:
New Ceiling Fan Installation
Ceiling Fan Replacement
Heavy-duty & Large Fan Installation
Outdoor and Patio Ceiling Fans
Smart Ceiling Fans with Remote or App Control
Ceiling Box Reinforcement & Bracing
Fan-rated Switch & Dimmer Installation
Removal and Disposal of Old Fans
Why? Because a fan is heavier than a ceiling light and it moves. A light-fixture box is not a fan box. If we open the canopy and the box is plastic, stamped “fixture only,” or hanging from the drywall, it gets a fan-rated box on a brace between joists, from the attic if we can, from below if we cannot.
Ceilings under 8 ft: hugger. Vaulted: sloped canopy and the right downrod. Covered porch: damp. Open to rain: wet. Remote receivers hate a dimmer on the same hot. We test all speeds and the light before we pack up. Wobble after that is usually a blade or a bent iron — we rebalance once.Jackson shop. Ocean, Monmouth, and scheduled Bergen. License #34EB01852700.
Most standard installations take 1–2 hours.
Project type: Ceiling fan troubleshoot and replacementLocation: Manalapan, NJService: Remove a failed ceiling fan and install a new one
The challenge: The ceiling fan needed to be troubleshot. The homeowner had a new fan on site in case the old one was bad, so the visit was set up to diagnose first and replace if the existing fan could not be saved.
The result: The failed fan is out. The new ceiling fan is installed and in its place. A fan that will not run can be the motor, the switch, the capacitor, or the wiring in the box. When the homeowner already has the replacement and the old unit is done, the job is a clean swap: remove the failed fan, hang the new one on a proper support, and leave it working.
Provide which room, ceiling height, sloped or flat, photo of the existing fixture or box, and whether there is an attic above.

"Cory and Will provided A+ customer service and were both super knowledgeable and professional. Will came to my home to understand why I was having issues with my circuit breaker, which was causing issues with other appliances. He was able to effectively diagnose and remedy the issue over the course of a few visits."
Yes. We can run new wiring and install a proper fan-rated ceiling box in most locations.
Standard boxes support up to 50 lbs. We reinforce the ceiling for heavier fans when needed.
In most cases yes. We install fan-rated wall controls or compatible remote systems.
Yes. Not on that box. New fan-rated box and brace, then the fan.
Box not on structure, blades out of track, or a bent flywheel. We balance on site. If it still shakes, the fan is junk — not “it will settle.”
Only with a sloped-ceiling kit / canopy that matches the pitch. A flat canopy on a vault walks the downrod into the drywall.
Like-for-like on an existing switched box: usually maintenance. New circuit, new switch loop, or moving the location: permit and inspection.
Send us your ceiling height and a photo of the box.

Yes. We install damp-rated and wet-rated fans designed for covered patios and outdoor spaces.
Under ~8 ft: hugger so blades stay 7 ft off the floor. Higher rooms: downrod so the fan is in the room, not in the attic heat.
Yes we handle removal and responsible disposal.
Yes for Covered patio: damp-rated. Rain on the motor: wet-rated.
Pick one control method. A dimmer on the fan hot cooks the receiver. Separate wall controls for fan and light if you want both.
You can. We can. Home-center specials with missing hardware cost more in extra trips than a complete box.
Sometimes, if the receivers match. Say that when you book. Do not assume the handheld in the box talks to the neighbor’s fan.
Yes truck fee plus time. Often cheaper than a new fan if the box is already right.
